Job Description
The Montana Department of Revenue seeks a Property Appraiser 1 to join the Property Assessment Division. The successful candidate will conduct property reviews, discoveries, and field appraisals, and provide dispute resolution and participate in appeal hearings. The position requires strong research and analysis skills, accuracy, and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Conduct property reviews and discoveries to identify appraisal needs and priorities
  • Review tax records, land use, improvements, valuation documents, and other information
  • Research and analyze individual residential property characteristics to estimate the impact on property values
  • Analyze and evaluate appraisal information and determine final property value
