Job Description
Role Overview

This position resides in the Property Assessment Division of the Montana Department of Revenue. The Property Record Specialist (PRS) performs various duties assigned by management to ensure property values in the county are accurately recorded, regularly updated, and certified each year for fair and accurate property tax billings.

What You Will Do

The PRS supports taxpayers, county officials, and other stakeholders by maintaining reliable property records, processing ownership and sales information, and assisting with taxpayer programs and appeals.

Requirements

  • One year of post-secondary education or training
  • One year of job-related experience
  • Must pass the department's CORE Assessment training within the first year of employment
  • Valid driver's license with less than 12 conviction points in the most recent completed 36 months
  • Must pass DOR tax and background check(s)
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
