Job Description
We are Skyward, a people-centered business that aims to serve others through information technology. We are looking for a Proposal Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a storyteller, compliance whisperer, and collaborative powerhouse with experience in writing and coordinating federal proposals. The role will involve collaborating with the capture team to develop compelling proposals and narratives that resonate with federal agencies, primarily focusing on DHS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field (or equivalent in lived experience and great writing)
  • 5+ years of experience in writing and coordinating federal proposals, with a strong focus on supporting DHS agencies
  • APMP Practitioner or higher (or Shipley-equivalent mastery)
  • Experience contributing to pricing volumes, developing proposal schedules, and facilitating kick-off, partnership, strategy, and solutions sessions
  • Fluency in tools like GovWin, sam.gov, VisibleThread, Loopio, ProposalTech, Qvidian, or Privia
  • Experience working alongside or inside AI tools
