Job Description
HDR is seeking a Protection and Relaying Project Engineer to join their team of Power Delivery professionals. The role will involve performing engineering tasks, protective relay calculations, and developing relay setting files. The position is available in multiple locations, including the US and abroad.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of experience doing electrical power system analysis, electrical system planning, protective device application, relay settings and/or substation design
  • Familiarity with power system analysis software: CAPE, Aspen, ETAP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office, and electrical design software
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects
  • Familiarity with Transmission and Distribution industry protection schemes and philosophies
  • Previous experience with substation voltages of 12kV thru 500kV desired, experience thru 765kV an added benefit
