Role Overview

Seeking a Protection & Control Design Engineer to support transmission, generation, and distribution projects involving protection & control systems and substation physical design. This role includes both new and existing substation projects and offers opportunities to work independently and within a collaborative engineering team.

What You Will Do

Design and review protection & control drawings, including one-lines, three-lines, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of materials. Design and review physical substation drawings, including grounding plans, conduit and raceway layouts, electrical plans, profiles, and related calculations.

Collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers, and clients to deliver projects on schedule and within scope. Participate in site evaluations and engineering scope development. Support project execution through quality control and technical leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Engineering Technology degree may also be considered)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of relay one-lines, three-lines, control schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
