Job Description
The Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Use (BADU) works to close gaps and reduce overall morbidity and mortality related to alcohol and substance use among New Yorkers. The Office of Substance Use Care supports and promotes a continuum of prevention and care, grounded in harm reduction and other evidence-based, best practices, to address drug and alcohol use for all New Yorkers.

Requirements

  • Provide leadership and guidance within BADU to maximize referral pathways and meaningful programmatic connections between and among contracted providers in their service provision to people who use drugs and alcohol.
  • Oversee the process and maintenance of all BADU contracted providers being included within the NYC Health Department’s Partners Connect data management and application system by interfacing with the divisional partners.
  • Identify, promote, and strengthen new and existing referral pathways between providers by conducting gap analysis and problem-solving for any emerging barriers and leveraging our knowledge of external partnerships between such providers.
