Role OverviewMedStar Health is seeking a Psychiatric Counselor to provide therapeutic interventions and make independent clinical decisions about patient rehab skills. The ideal candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans and monitor treatment progress.
What You Will Do
The Psychiatric Counselor will complete documentation, participate in treatment planning, manage aggressive patients, and provide effective clinical services, including therapeutic and educational groups.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related behavioral health discipline, 1-2 years' experience in delivering services to a psychiatric population, and BLS certification. A Master's degree is preferred.
