Job Description
The Psychiatric/DD Nurse is responsible for providing general nursing and psychiatric care to clients, including administering medication and treatments, and observing and recording client behavior and psychiatric symptoms. The nurse will also assist in feeding, grooming, and self-care, and evaluate and administer first aid as needed. The nurse will serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team and provide health teaching to clients and their families as indicated.

Requirements

  • Current license as registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio
  • Knowledge of professional nursing procedures, psychiatric or developmentally disabled nursing, employee training & development, state & federal regulations, policies & procedures as related to nursing, public relations, counseling
  • Ability to deal with some abstract but mostly concrete variables, write meaningful, concise & accurate reports, demonstrates physical fitness
