Job Description
Role Overview

This position focuses on supporting adults in a residential setting to develop essential independent living and social skills. The staff member will work directly with assigned consumers, implementing personal and behavior plans and helping with skills such as hygiene, medication management, food preparation, budgeting, and social interactions.

What You Will Do

Assesses & evaluates nursing & medical needs of patients who are hospitalized; initiates & directs implementation of nursing care plan; observes, evaluates & records patient behavior, condition & response to medication, treatments & therapeutic activities; provides professional nursing care (e.g., administers medications & treatments as ordered by physician, educates patient on medication(s), assists with physical examinations, takes & records vital signs, performs venipuncture); responds to emergency situations (e.g., codes, suicide, assault).

Must be able to complete a 4 week full time orientation; may work weekends and holidays; may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpredictable patient behavior.

Requirements

  • Current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code
