Role OverviewMatrix Providers is hiring a Psychiatric Technician to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD.
What You Will Do
Conduct patient assessments, identify mental health and nursing diagnoses, provide patient education, and support treatment and rehabilitation plans.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The Psychiatric Technician must have a minimum of 12 months full-time experience as a Psychiatry Technician after graduation and possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program
- Completion of an equivalent education and experience that meets the requirement of the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians
- Completion of education and experience as a behavioral science specialist/technician in the United States military and proof of having completed an Armed Forces course involving psychiatric technician training or civilian course from an accredited school in the care of behavioral health patients
- Have a minimum of 12 months full-time experience as a Psychiatry Technician after graduation
- Possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
