Job Description
The New York City Police Department is seeking a Psychologist, Level I, to conduct psychological testing and interviews, evaluate emotional and intellectual functioning, and prepare psychologist findings. The position requires a doctoral degree in psychology and a valid license as a Psychologist issued by the New York State Department of Education.

Requirements

  • Completion of a doctoral program in psychology registered by the New York State Department of Education
  • 2 years of graduate work in psychology
  • 2 years of satisfactory full-time experience in psychology under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist
  • 240 hours of experience in personality testing, individual intelligence testing, and psychological and/or behavioral intervention
  • Valid license as a Psychologist issued by the New York State Department of Education
