Role Overview

As a licensed mental health professional, you'll provide individualized therapy and counseling to seniors living in long-term care communities. You'll work closely with care teams to ensure residents receive holistic, person-centered support. You'll conduct thorough psychological assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and offer individual counseling for various mental health issues.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
  • Current and valid state licensure to practice independently as a Psychologist (Ph.D/Psy.D.), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Previous experience in a mental health role, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting
