Job Description
The Office of the Public Defender is seeking a Public Defender to serve as a defense attorney for indigent clients in criminal and civil cases. The ideal candidate will have a passion for public service and a commitment to ensuring that needed services are provided to underprivileged populations. The Public Defender will be responsible for representing clients in court, reviewing and preparing legal documents, and providing consultation and advice on legal matters. The position requires a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and membership in the State Bar of Montana.
