Job Description
The Public Health Investigator assists in the preliminary provision of sexually transmitted infection prevention, detection, treatment, and referral services for clients. This includes performing client interviews, HIV pre- and post-test counseling, and conducting field investigations of contacts of reportable sexually transmitted infections.

Requirements

  • Possession of a high school diploma or a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development Test
  • One (1) year experience performing disease investigation or performing field work
  • Michigan Partner Services (PS) certification and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services HIV Test Counselor certification within the first year of employment
