Job Description
Public Health Vision Consultant to lead and support statewide vision screening and conservation programs, improving access to care and outcomes for children and communities across Ohio.

Requirements

  • Lead and manage statewide vision screening and conservation programs
  • Oversee and administer vision screenings in compliance with the state guidelines and standards
  • Analyze screening data, prepare reports, and identify opportunities to improve program outcomes, referrals and follow-up care
  • Develop and implement program strategies, policies, and accountability measures to enhance service delivery
  • Design and deliver training for healthcare professionals, school staff, and community partners
  • Provide technical assistance and consultation to local agencies, schools and partner organizations
  • Develop educational materials and promote best practices in vision health
  • Collaborate with public and private partners to expand access to services and support statewide initiatives
  • Participate in committees and contribute to public health planning and policy development
  • Conduct research, prepare presentations, and respond to public inquiries
  • Support program evaluations, grant-related activities, and special projects
