Role Overview

The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for media relations, attending community meetings, managing stakeholder partnerships, executing outreach and appreciation events, managing vendor contracts, developing fresh content for the MTS website and social media channels, publishing quarterly newsletters, and assisting in the development and implementation of major marketing campaigns and projects.

What You Will Do

Essential Functions include serving as primary project manager for media outreach, working with staff to respond to media inquiries, leading planning and execution of media events, managing special projects, monitoring and analyzing earned media presence, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting executive and internal communications efforts.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, political science, public relations, or journalism, and have a minimum of five years of experience in the marketing/public relations field. Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
