Role Overview

The Public Safety Officer provides a safe and secure environment for improving the health of our communities. This role requires public interactions work experience and related field experience preferred. The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

The Public Safety Officer will make security checks of facilities, control patient and visitor traffic, respond to security breaches, and enforce applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and CPI certification within 6 months of hire. The incumbent must also complete Basic Security Officer Certification through the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety within 6 months of hire.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Public interactions work experience
  • Related field experience (law enforcement, military, or security management)
  • CPI certification within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Security Officer Certification through the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety within 6 months of hire
  • Valid driver's license
  • No criminal record
