Role OverviewThe Pumps and Rods Field Service Technician performs duties related to servicing and repairing customer pumps and equipment. The role involves inspecting and installing fiber glass rods, disassembling and reassembling pumps, and handling sucker rods and safety systems equipment. The technician delivers and picks up customer pumps, assists with loading and unloading freight, and completes paperwork for transactions. The role requires understanding and completing the Pump Service Record (PSR) for all new/repaired pumps serviced in the district.
What You Will Do
The main responsibilities of the Pumps and Rods Field Service Technician include disassembling, repairing, and assembling pumps, handling sucker rods and safety systems equipment, delivering and picking up customer pumps, and completing paperwork for transactions. The technician also installs products manufactured and sold by ELS, such as steel rods, fiberglass rods, sinker bars, pumps, and shear tools.

The ideal candidate for this role should have 2 years of oil field experience or 1 year as a ELS Pump Shop Service Technician I or related oil field experience. The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 pounds, and drive a one-ton pick-up truck. The role requires strong manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools.
