Job Description
D.R. Horton, Inc. is looking for a Purchasing Manager to oversee the Purchasing Department and all sourcing for equipment, goods and services. The right candidate will develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies, manage bid processes, and track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration
  • Five to eight years of related experience and/or training as Purchasing Manager, Agent or Officer
  • Proven experience with sourcing, negotiation and vendor management
  • Ability to gather and analyze data
  • Strong leadership skills and networking capabilities
  • Ability to effectively present information
  • Displays regular interest in market dynamics along with business sense
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
