Role OverviewThe QA Automation Engineer analyzes the functionality of applications and designs automated tests to validate their performance and reliability. Completes development, execution, and documentation of test plans and scripts. Assists non-QA resources in the planning and execution of user acceptance testing.
What You Will Do
Maintain, design, and implement test automation frameworks for a continuous integration and execution model. Create and design the testing approach (Unit, Functional, Integration, System, User). Create automation tests by analyzing user stories, acceptance criteria, creating initial test designs, writing scripts, installing the automation testing tools, and reporting results.

Requirements
- Understanding and knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies
- Understanding of test cases and negative, positive and regression testing
- Understanding of automation testing and experience writing automation tests for REST APIs and UI
- Experience with writing automation tests using one or more of the following: Postman, Playwright, SpecFlow, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, ect.
- Extremely proficient in one or more development languages (i.e. C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
- Knowledge of industry best practices for manual, automation and performance testing
- Experience with deployments and CI/CD practices
- Experience gathering, refining, and validating business/technical requirements, interdependencies, cross-functional dependencies & risks/issues
- Knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing practices
- Experience with system/platform integrations and the ability to work cross-functionally
