Job Description
BWXT is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Engineer to provide QC support for projects including next generation nuclear reactor design; reactor component development and fabrication; and advanced manufacturing technology development. As a QC Engineer, you will develop inspection and test plans, write and review inspection procedures, and assist with the development of manufacturing plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology or related field with 15 years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology or related field with 13 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of dimensional inspection techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings including understanding of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of inspection tools, systems, techniques and NDE methods
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated proficiency in generating technical reports and presentations using MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required
