Role OverviewPerforms standardized quality control tests/inspections on products, materials, components, and ensures compliance with internal/external quality standards. Responsible for recording inspection data, communicating and documenting non-conformances, and resolving routine questions and problems.
What You Will Do
Performs housekeeping and 5S to keep the department clean, safe, and well organized. Understands and participates in continuous improvement activities. Must be able and willing to float to areas of greatest business needs.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be able to apply basic inspection skills related to inspection procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment. Familiar with using the appropriate inspection tooling (i.e., micrometers, calipers, thread gages) to accurately measure part features preferred. Engineering drawing (blueprint) reading skills preferred.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1 - 2 years of manufacturing or related experience
- Previous inspection training and/or experience preferred
- Experience with Lean and continuous improvement projects preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
