Role OverviewThe Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional/Program Specialist is responsible for serving as the primary advocate for individuals with disabilities and ensuring that monitoring functions are completed appropriately. The QIDP/PS will also act as the Program Specialist (PS) and may be responsible for a defined caseload of homes in the community.
What You Will Do
The QIDP/PS will travel to any day program for the individual, act as a liaison between the facility, individual's family, and outside agencies, and provide supervision to individuals with disabilities.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in psychology, liberal arts, or human services related field and two years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities, or a Master's degree in the same field and one year of experience.
