Role OverviewThe Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional/Program Specialist is responsible for serving as the primary advocate for individuals with disabilities and ensuring monitoring functions are completed appropriately. The QIDP/PS will also act as the Program Specialist (PS).
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include traveling to and being responsible for a defined number of homes in the community, traveling to day programs for individuals, and serving as a liaison between facilities, individuals' families, and outside agencies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in psychology, liberal arts, or human services related field and two years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities, or a Master's degree in the same field and one year of experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, liberal arts, or human services related field from an accredited college or university
- Two years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities
- Or a Master's degree in psychology, liberal arts, or human services related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience working directly with persons with disabilities
