Job Description
The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a Qualified Craft Worker (HVACR) to maintain proper ventilation, temperature control, humidity levels, and indoor air quality in agency facilities. The successful candidate will perform skilled duties in the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems. The position requires considerable knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods and standard HVACR trade practices, as well as skills in interpersonal and oral and written communication.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience in tasks in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration trade.
  • Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been performing skilled heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration trades.
  • Graduation from a vocational or technical school with a diploma designating completion of subject requirements in a maintenance trade area may be substituted for two (2) years of the General Experience.
  • HVAC license (D2, S2)
