Qualified Mental Health Professional (PRN)

NaphCare is hiring a PRN Qualified Mental Health Professional to join their team at the San Diego County Jail. The role involves providing mental health services, including assessments, treatments, and support to the facility residents. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to a diverse population of patients with complex mental health needs.

What You Will Do

As a Mental Health Professional, you will provide mental health evaluations, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress notes. You will also provide individual and group therapy, intervene in crisis situations, participate in educational activities, and collaborate with other professionals to provide holistic care.

Requirements

• Master's prepared licensed Mental Health Professional with active, unrestricted licensure in CA
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or American Red Cross
• Experience with underserved and marginalized populations, including those with mental health and substance use disorders
• Knowledge of DSM-V / DSM-V-TR criteria
• Ability to interpret and analyze data to create treatment plans
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Integrity, professionalism, and adherence to a Code of Conduct and compliance with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
