Job Description
The Quality & Safety Officer Lead at the UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory is responsible for overseeing and enhancing laboratory processes to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely results for all clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or related field
  • Five(5) years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting
  • Ability to initiate work independently and critically review the work of others
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with a variety of individuals
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a group setting
  • Working knowledge of analytical chemistry
  • Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025, WADA requirements, A2LA accreditation criteria, GLP principles, and laboratory QA/QC practices
  • Ability to summarize and present scientific data
  • Familiarity with screening and confirmatory testing methodologies
  • Skilled in planning and conducting internal audits
  • Ability to apply independent judgment to evaluate laboratory processes for compliance, safety, and efficiency
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
