As a Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) Tower Climber, you will support deployment, sustainment, quality assurance, quality control, and inspection activities for communications, surveillance, and related tower-based systems.
What You Will Do
Perform on-site field observations, tower inspections, documentation reviews, quality assessments, and compliance verification to ensure that all deployment and sustainment activities are conducted in accordance with established requirements, industry standards, safety regulations, and programmatic objectives.

This position requires a tower climb-certified professional at the competent level or above who can serve as the on-site subject matter expert, independently support and lead deployment-related activities, inspect work performed by outside vendors, and validate compliance at CBP-owned or leased tower locations.
Requirements
- Tower climb certification at the competent level or above
- Demonstrated experience performing tower climbing and tower inspection activities
- Ability to complete tower inspections in accordance with TIA-222-G standards
- Experience sufficient to serve as the on-site subject matter expert for tower climbing and deployment activities
- Ability to independently lead deployment-related field activities
- Experience inspecting and validating telecommunications, surveillance, or related tower-based systems
- Strong knowledge of deployment and sustainment operations
- Ability to conduct physical configuration audits, support system acceptance inspections, and oversee functional testing
- Ability to review and assess technical and operational documentation
- Ability to prepare detailed reports, including photographic documentation and standards-based discrepancy descriptions
- Ability to travel to designated deployment and sustainment locations
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, team members, and government stakeholders
- Ability to manage schedules, identify risks, and support timely completion of mission objectives
