Role OverviewGloryBee is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join their tight-knit Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in their food safety culture, reviewing documentation, analyzing data, taste-testing ingredients, and reporting on findings.
What You Will Do
The Quality Assurance Technician will review documentation, analyze data, taste-test ingredients, and report on findings to help GloryBee meet various goals to improve customer experience and loyalty, ensure high-quality products meet required specifications, and reduce unnecessary costs or wasted efforts.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will have at least one year of experience working in quality assurance or a similar field, preferably within a food-related or agricultural setting, and will be able to pass GMP, HACCP, and other Food Safety Training as arranged.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience working in quality assurance or similar field, preferably within a food-related or agricultural setting
- Bachelor's degree in food science or related field may be accepted in lieu of work experience
- High school diploma required
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate or better skills in Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to review and interpret lab results and reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must be able to taste-test a variety of food ingredients, including those with potential allergens, and provide input on color, taste, aroma and texture
