Job Description
Textron Systems is seeking a Quality Engineer II/III to perform assignments that necessitate independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard Quality Engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. The role involves working on moderately complex contracts, requiring autonomous execution within a defined set of skills or knowledge areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering, or a related discipline with 2+ years’ experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to triage defect data and identify trends
  • Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and applications
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze specifications, drawings, procedures, and schematics
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications for tolerances, dimensions, weld symbols, and datum schemes to ensure accuracy and compliance with design requirements
  • Effective ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Eligible to obtain a security clearance
  • An inquiring mind and passion for learning
  • Knowledge of Quality Engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of AS9100 Standard and or ISO 9001
  • Technical knowledge of inspection and test techniques
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and concepts
  • Knowledge of Control plans and PFMEAs and the ability to develop them for different processes. Knowledge of different inspection techniques and the ability to devise new methods or techniques to ensure parts are in compliance.
