Role Overview

The QI Coordinator is responsible for monitoring compliance with all regulatory and funding source requirements for assigned MercyFirst programs. The role involves assisting programs with adherence to Federal, State, and local code and regulations, improving overall program performance, and overseeing safety activities. The QI Coordinator will also lead program Incident Review Committee meetings, prepare quarterly and annual Safety reports, and aggregate incident/accident/grievance/inspection data.

What You Will Do

The QI Coordinator will conduct case record reviews, prepare quarterly and annual Case Record Review reports, and analyze trends. They will also track safety activities, document and conduct Fire and Safety inspections, and generate daily and monthly reports. Additionally, the QI Coordinator will lead Quality Team meetings, communicate results and recommendations to key audiences, and assure recording of minutes.

They will also have knowledge of NYC child welfare programs, NYC ACS, NYS OCFS, NYS OMH, Federal ORR, and other state/federal systems. The QI Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of requirements as indicated in the agency Quality Improvement manual and assisting program VP with the implementation of evidence-based treatment models.

Requirements

  • Associates in health, public health, policy or related field
  • Relevant training and/or experience in child protection, child welfare or refugee services
  • Knowledge of NYC child welfare programs, NYC ACS, NYS OCFS, NYS OMH, Federal ORR and other state/federal systems
  • Demonstrated ability in analytic and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with ability to learn NYS CONNECTIONS, NYS Data Warehouse, Federal ORR Portal and ASARA
