Role Overview

The Quality Inspector I in the Defense area performs various inspections to determine the acceptability of manufactured parts, ensuring a quality product. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of inspection experience, a high attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. They must understand and aptitude for measuring tools and have a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include inspecting and determining acceptability of products, performing receiving, first part, in-process, first article, and final inspections, understanding customer requirements, and maintaining required documentation. The Quality Inspector I will also perform quality product testing, calibration/validation for inspection equipment, and assist in detecting problems.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Shop math
  • Two plus years inspection experience
  • Basic knowledge of inspection devices and tools
  • Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork
  • Ability to work according to time lines and customer specifications
  • Ability to work well with employees at all levels in each department
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, Access, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to follow clear instructions and provide prompt feedback or results
  • Strong communications skills
