Role Overview

As a Quality Manager 1, you will be responsible for assuring that the quality program is implemented throughout the project. You will assist in coordinating the Project Quality Plan activities associated with one or functions in engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and operations of this construction project for the US Navy Spent Fuel Handling Project and/or Oklo-Aurora.

What You Will Do

Maintain a high level of understanding of company standards and guidelines, provide updates to employees on client critique results, initiate, implement, and close Corrective Action Reports, and facilitate Root/Apparent Cause Analysis. Plan and perform quality assessments, maintain a solid knowledge base of District Quality Manuals and project requirements, and identify potential quality incidents before they arise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical discipline field
  • 7-10+ years of quality or related experience
  • 1-year nuclear experience
  • Working knowledge for the implementation of Commercial Grade Dedication for materials, equipment, and services
  • Knowledge of industry standards of quality, such as NQA-1, ISO-9001, Six Sigma, and/or US NRC Reg Guides
  • Proficient in various problem solving and causal analysis techniques
  • Working knowledge of quality control procedures relating to construction activities
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climates and environments
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
