Job Description
Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a Quality Services Intern to support the development, organization, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS). This internship will provide hands-on experience working with Quality Engineers and Specialists to support continuous improvement initiatives, evaluate technology-based solutions, and assist with systems and processes that enhance quality performance across the business.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to projects involving AI-supported quality initiatives, system validation, internal audits, troubleshooting, and trend development, while gaining valuable exposure to quality systems within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Quality team in the development, organization, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
Work with Quality Engineers and Specialists to identify opportunities for AI applications that support the QMS.
Assist in evaluating potential AI-related solutions involving aesthetic guides, validation of customer complaints, application failures versus customer complaints, linking technical references and specifications, specification development, deviation versus non-conformance identification, repeat complaint recognition, and improved search capability for QMS policies, procedures, and documentation.
Help develop technology-based solutions around identified quality system needs.
Assist in developing and validating systems that support the QMS and enable trend analysis.
Support efforts to determine a potential path toward Statistical Process Control (SPC) within business units.
Assist with internal audits, including preparation, documentation, and follow-up activities.
Support troubleshooting efforts related to quality systems, documentation, and process issues.
Help maintain organized quality documentation and records.
Assist with additional quality-related projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree or certification in Quality Management, Six Sigma, Project Management, Engineering, or another technical discipline.
Some coursework in data analysis or computer science preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Sound decision-making ability.
Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology preferred.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology preferred.
Proficiency with computer programs and ability to learn new systems and tools.
Some domestic U.S. travel may be required.
