Role Overview

The Quality Technician ensures that products are meeting customer requirements at each stage of the manufacturing process. This involves performing quality audits, inspecting parts, conducting analysis, reporting findings, and assisting with root cause analysis. The Quality Technician works closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance staff to develop, define, and document product test requirements.

What You Will Do

The Quality Technician will work closely with manufacturing to conduct first piece, in-process, and final inspection standards defined by customer, blueprint, and/or control plan. They will also identify issues and work to resolve them, utilizing in-depth knowledge of inspection tools and remaining current on products, tools, and processes.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a technical field (preferred)
  • High School diploma or GED
  • One year experience in quality/CMM programming within a manufacturing setting (preferred)
  • Excellent math and analytical skills
  • Blueprint reading skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) (preferred but not required)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to obtain CWI (Certified Welding Instructor) within one year of start date (preferred but not required)
