Role OverviewSafely and efficiently operate and maintain mobile equipment and plant equipment, floating to different areas in the plant to fill vacancies as needed. Adhere to all MSHA and Company safety rules/regulations. Perform assigned tasks safely and proficiently.
What You Will Do
Perform tasks such as inspecting work areas, filling out Work Area Inspection forms daily and Production Report, maintaining equipment properly, and loading haul trucks and customer trucks with various products. May be called upon to grade roads, prepare blast areas, and perform other duties assigned by management.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be able to work the scheduled hours of the area of the plant when 'floating' to cover a vacancy. Must be flexible and able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature depending on priorities.
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or 3+ years of practical work experience
- Mechanical skills/aptitude required
- Ability to carry out oral and written instructions in a safe manner
- Ability to communicate effectively with and work professionally with other personnel
- Basic mathematical skills
- Tolerate working at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, as required
- Ability to read English language sufficiently to read information contained in specifications, test standards, reports, manuals, and regulations
- Ability to work in a team environment
