Job Description
Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications.  We are looking for a Quote Management Specialist to join our Carlisle Coatings and Waterproofing team.
 
Job Summary
The Quote Management Specialist is responsible for providing price quotes and pricing to our field sales team and customers. For the assigned accounts and markets, the QMS will receive and respond to price requests and requests for quote (RFQ), working with others in the organization for escalated price deviation requests. They serve our sales teams and our customers during the bidding process and their selection of a manufacturer and products. Daily, our Quoting & Estimating team collaborates with sales, customer service, finance, etc., to execute our pricing strategy and win work that best supports our revenue, margin, and sales goals. The QMS delivers a high level of competence, a service mindset, and ease of doing business that makes us our customers’ supplier of choice.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

Receive requests for quote (RFQs) from sales and/or customers in the assigned territory or book of accounts and prioritize them appropriately for action. Leverage our systems, price strategy, and judgment to deliver timely, accurate responses to the field.
Load/maintain pricing and pricing discounts in our ERP system (SAP or others). As needed, develop price lists for distribution both manually and electronically. Support new product pricing, promotional pricing, and pricing changes.
Build product and industry knowledge sufficient to provide informed support to the market. Understand all of our policies and fees that can impact the customer’s costs in order to work within these policies to negotiate win/win outcomes.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and responsiveness. Exercise good judgment and decision-making that balances the needs of our customers, fellow employees, and company shareholders.
Partner closely with sales managers and representatives to understand the market, key stakeholders, and the needs of their territory.
With the Delegation of Authority, consider pricing deviation requests and offer pricing based upon knowledge of costs, availability, competitor pricing, market trends, and overall targeted company margin thresholds and sales targets.
Prepare/present deviation requests for escalation to the appropriate decision-making authority. As needed, calculate the margin impact of price deviations to support decisions/ recommendations based on all applicable variables, including but not limited to material cost, freight, customer rebates, and commissions.
Work in partnership with customer service to understand, correct, and prevent price discrepancies and inaccurate invoicing.
Ensure pricing practices comply with legal and regulatory standards.
Actively participate in and support the company's continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on developing a Lean mindset. Look for ways to improve our processes and systems in order to provide timely, accurate quoting in ways that assist customers with evaluating their costs and presents our company favorably and accurately.
Depending on the assigned market, QMS may be responsible for or assist with the following:

Configuration and estimating processes required to provide accurate, useful pricing information of what the customer needs.
Sending requests for quote (RFQs) to 3rd party vendors of purchased finished goods.
Leveraging our ERP system for pricing-related credits, debits, and rebills.

Other duties as assigned.

 
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to build and maintain excellent internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in fast paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to negotiate and challenge unsubstantiated requests while seeking win/win outcomes.
Strong proficiency with technology platforms, including Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability to reach high proficiency in ERP usage and other dedicated quoting platforms.   

Education and Experience:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or a related field
Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree would be a high school diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience


Preferred:

Experience with ERP systems and/or pricing/quoting/estimating software
Experience in sales, manufacturing industries, and/or building products/construction industry



Working Conditions:
The position typically operates during standard business hours of Monday – Friday (8am – 5pm), with occasional flexibility required to accommodate meetings across time zones or critical business needs. The employee is expected to comply with all company policies related to data security, confidentiality, and remote work standards. 
Periodic travel may be required for team meetings, training, or company events, with advance notice provided. The company will reimburse travel expenses in accordance with its travel and expense policy.
