Role OverviewThe Radar Test Engineer will work in research and development engineering groups, responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including testing tasks using radars. The engineer will work well in both theoretical and practical domains as part of an iterative process to create innovative solutions for radar-related challenges.
What You Will Do
The engineer will calculate RF link budgets, analyze radar signal to noise levels, determine which radar and technical data must be made available and collected, and perform RF signal analysis. They will also develop physics-based models of RF systems, develop comprehensive test plans and test reports, and track known radar data over time.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radar signal processing, electromagnetic wave propagation, and the radar range equation. They will be able to work independently on multiple tasks, convey complex radar-related information, and analyze large, complex datasets.
