Role OverviewInova Alexandria Hospital Radiation Therapy is looking for a dedicated Radiation Oncology Technician Assistant to join the Team. This role will be PRN day-shift working Monday – Friday located in Alexandria, VA. The Radiation Oncology Technician Assistant assists in the planning procedures for initial patient set-up and provides assistance to the nursing staff in clinics and provides assistance to Radiation Therapists and physicians during patient treatments.
What You Will Do
Assists therapist and physicians in the preparation of immobilization devices, assists with patient positioning activities on the simulator and/or Computed Tomography (CT) machine, processes/develops X-ray and/or CT films for treatment planning, and performs other related tasks.

Requirements
- High School or GED
- Previous patient care experience (i.e. Patient Transport or Nursing Aide)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
