Role OverviewAssist the Radiologist physician with the process of imaging and diagnosing illness. Capture images, obtain high-quality images, and ensure patient comfort and safety. Communicate effectively with patients and follow physician instructions.
What You Will Do
Capture images, position patients, set equipment, and take preventative steps to avoid radiation exposure. Communicate with patients, prepare radiography equipment, and obtain optimal images for diagnosis.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be able to communicate calmly, compassionately, and professionally with all different types of patients. Must have knowledge of anatomy and physiology to help the physician diagnose problems.
Requirements
- Degree in radiologic technology from an accredited college or university
- Pass the ARRT certification exam
- Licensed by the state of Arkansas
- BLS Certification
- Knowledge of CT Procedures
