Role Overview

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist is responsible for providing designated diagnostic imaging services across all New England Baptist Hospital locations. This role performs routine radiographic examinations including O.R., C-arm imaging, Pain Center, plain film x-ray, and fluoroscopy procedures. Call shifts, holiday and shift rotation are required per department needs.

What You Will Do

Perform requested radiographic exams in a timely manner consistent with departmental quality standards, position patients accurately, determine and adjust exposure factors, ensure RIS exam data is correct, and ensure all images reach PACS. Practice proper aseptic or sterile technique, monitor radiation safety, and act as a resource/liaison between physicians, departments, patients, and families. May rotate to other NEBH locations and perform non-imaging functions such as clerical duties or transporting patients.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role requires a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Radiologic License, ARRT Certification, and an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology. A Bachelor's degree and experience in a hospital imaging department are preferred. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a pay range of $36.00 - $53.49 per hour.

Requirements

  • Commonwealth of Massachusetts Radiologic License required
  • ARRT Certification required
  • Heart Saver certification or BLS from AHA (required within 60 days of date of hire)
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required
  • 0-1 year of experience
