Role Overview

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist is responsible for providing designated diagnostic imaging services across all New England Baptist Hospital locations. This role performs routine radiographic examinations including O.R., C-arm imaging, Pain Center, plain film x-ray, and fluoroscopy procedures. Call shifts, holiday and shift rotation are required per department needs.

What You Will Do

Perform requested exams in a timeframe consistent with departmental quality standards, position patients accurately for each radiographic projection, and determine exposure factors to produce diagnostic images. Ensure RIS exam data is correct, all images reach PACS, and tracking steps are performed timely. Consistently practice proper aseptic or sterile technique and utilize standard radiation safety practices.

This role requires a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Radiologic License, ARRT Certification, and an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered with payouts at 90 days and 12 months. The pay range is $36.00 - $53.49 per hour, and experience in a hospital imaging department is preferred.

Requirements

  • Commonwealth of Massachusetts Radiologic License required
  • ARRT Certification required
  • Heart Saver certification or BLS from AHA (or within 60 days of hire)
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required
  • 0-1 year of experience
