Role OverviewAssists Physician and in charge Registered Nurse with basic patient care and operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) and CT scans of body for diagnostic purposes.
What You Will Do
Provides supportive care to patients, performs patient skill sets, performs diagnostic testing using x-ray and/or computer tomography (CT scan) equipment, and reports lab and radiology results.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires knowledge of anatomy and physiology, current trends and techniques of x-ray technology, and ability to learn to conduct quality control studies and use computerized radiologic equipment.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Applied Science or equivalent
- ARRT Certification
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Current license from the Texas Department of State Health Service for Radiology Technologist
- At least Two (2) years experience as a Radiology Technologist at a hospital or emergency room setting
