Role OverviewWe are looking for a skilled Railcar Repair & Welding Technician to perform mechanical repair, welding, and fabrication work on freight railcars. This role supports railroad operations and requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and reliable field service.
What You Will Do
Repair, maintain, weld, and fabricate components on freight railcars. Inspect and prepare vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials before and after assignments.

Must be willing to work on-call and respond to assignments during nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- AWS welding certification
- Welding and fabrication experience with strong technical knowledge
- Familiarity with freight car components and the AAR Field Manual
- Knowledge of railroad safety requirements, including Blue Flag Law and FRA standards
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong teamwork, communication, and workplace professionalism
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including CPR, First Aid, E-Rail Safe, and CSX On-Track Safety
