Role OverviewThe Rapid Response Nurse ensures patient safety by escalating issues, following standard processes, and maintaining equipment. They keep patients, families, and hospital team informed of updates and respond to RRT Code calls promptly.
What You Will Do
The nurse will implement measures for immediate stabilization when necessary, provide psychosocial and spiritual support to patients' families, and maintain a record of patient data.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience as a Critical Care or Emergency Room RN, a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.
Requirements
- Three – five years of experience as a Critical Care or Emergency Room RN
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing (from an accredited school of nursing)
- BLS and ACLS required (AHA)
- CEN or CCRN within 6 months from date of hire
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of VA as a Registered Nurse or active multi-state RN license
