Role Overview

The Rates and Data Analyst provides analytical and reporting support for rate development and implementation, as well as supporting analytics needed across customer service operations. This role performs entry to intermediate-level data analysis, supports rate and tariff work, and develops dashboards and reports.

What You Will Do

Assist the Rates and Tariff Manager with data collection and analysis, research and resolve issues involving rates and tariffs, and prepare rate comparison analyses. Develop and maintain Excel reports and Power BI dashboards, perform data cleaning and quality checks, and provide ad-hoc insights and data summaries.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic statistics, data validation, and quality control, and be able to extract and synthesize insights from structured datasets. They will also be able to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, economics, business, accounting, engineering, information systems, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience summarizing data into reports or building simple reports
  • Beginning proficiency with Excel, including summary statistics, formulas, lookups, and data transformation
  • Ability and willingness to learn tools such as Power BI and SQL
  • Utility industry experience helpful but not required
