Role OverviewThe R&D Manager will be responsible for managing a strategic growth program for concept definition, qualification, and bringing into production new EDT products for defense and related applications. The role involves working with Armtec Defense Technologies and customer staff to identify and define specific products suited to Armtec Defense Technologies operations and capabilities.
What You Will Do
Primary responsibilities include working with Armtec Defense Technologies functional groups to deliver a qualified product in a timely manner and within a carefully controlled budget/schedule, preparing and managing capital expense requisitions, and ensuring all activities planned for the efficient execution of the program are performed to give a high-quality product, on time, and to cost.

The ideal candidate will have exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, at least five years of experience working on defense programs, and a basic understanding of Defense contracting. They will also be dependable, responsible, and accurate, with the ability to deal with people effectively.
Requirements

- Advanced degrees
- Previous DOD experience or a basic understanding of Defense contracting
- ISO 9000 procedures
- Some military/college or external training in Project or Program Management
