Role OverviewThe R&D Research Associate will support the development and refinement of Signal-C, a next-generation sequencing assay for colorectal cancer screening. The role involves executing customized study protocols, investigating unexpected results, and contributing to improvements in assay chemistry and performance.
What You Will Do
The R&D Research Associate will help scientists prepare bench protocols, execute bespoke studies, process plasma and extract cell-free DNA, and support whole-blood processing. The role also involves setting up and running Hamilton or similar liquid handlers, preparing reagent mixes, and assessing DNA and library yield.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, biotechnology, biomedical or biomechanical engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on molecular biology experience through academic research, internships, or industry laboratory work
- Familiarity with automated liquid handlers or comparable laboratory automation
- Ability to follow multistep protocols and learn study-specific variations with guidance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word or equivalent tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
