Role OverviewThe Revenue Accountant will review customer contracts, analyze revenue arrangements, and prepare revenue recognition schedules. They will also perform monthly revenue close activities, investigate discrepancies, and support accurate and timely close processes. The role requires a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, as well as experience with ERP and CRM systems.
What You Will Do
The Revenue Accountant will review contracts, prepare revenue recognition schedules, perform monthly revenue close activities, and investigate discrepancies. They will also partner with Accounting Operations, Billing, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, and IT to ensure contracts are properly structured and processed.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of accounting experience, with experience in revenue accounting preferred. They will also have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, as well as experience with ERP and CRM systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, with experience in revenue accounting preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606
- Experience reviewing contracts and translating contractual terms into accounting conclusions
- Experience with SaaS, software, technology, or other consumption-based businesses preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet close deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Billing, Operations, and other business teams
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems; NetSuite and Salesforce
