Job Description
Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Transactional & Environmental Counsel with 10+ years of experience to join a sophisticated Real Estate, Energy & Environmental practice in Boston. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior attorney seeking a flexible, part-time role while continuing to work on complex environmental, land use, and real estate matters for sophisticated regional, national, and multinational clients.

Requirements

  • Advise clients on Massachusetts environmental laws and regulatory compliance matters
  • Counsel developers, property owners, industrial facilities, manufacturers, utilities, and energy companies on environmental and land use issues
  • Navigate complex local, state, and regulatory permitting processes
  • Provide strategic guidance regarding environmental risks and liabilities associated with real estate and business transactions
  • Support acquisitions, dispositions, leasing transactions, development projects, and related real estate matters
  • Advise clients regarding zoning, land use, permitting, and regulatory approvals
  • Handle matters involving environmental investigations, remediation, and agency enforcement actions
  • Collaborate with attorneys across real estate, corporate, energy, and environmental practice areas on multidisciplinary matters
